White-knuckled, holding on to sanity by a slim thread? Teens gone amuck? Finances desperate? Health reports uncertain? People who could help, remote?
What is your mountain challenge?
Recently I was reminded, after a long night following a worrying medical report of someone close to me, that holding on to strength, truth and love will carry me through.
I remembered the iconic painting by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel where the Lord’s hand is ever stretched out to us as we reach out to Him.
God tells us in 1 Timothy 6:19b NKJV:
… lay hold on eternal life.
(emphasis mine)
After all, our lives and our future are as Psalm 31:15 so beautifully says:
My times are in Your hand ... (NKJV)
So, if we keep worrying, trying to work out or fix things in our own strength, how can God's hand work out His miracles?
Lay down your burdens girlfriends, place your situation in His beautiful, capable, strong hands, look upward, move onward and hold on tight!
